Raemelton is adding two therapy options this fall. Therapy driving and the Equiciser. Therapy driving offers individuals the opportunity to experience the freedom of horse power. Therapy driving is ideal for individuals who are too fragile to transfer from their wheelchairs or are above the weight limit for back riding. A instructor rides withe student and a leader walks beside the horse. Individuals that can take the reins will guide the horse through its patterns and through the trails. Those unable to take the reins also enjoy the view of the 60 acres farm from the horse drawn cart.

The Equiciser is on loan from Nancy Fanello. Nancy has generously allowed Raemelton to use this excercise equipment this fall until we receive necessary funding to purchase our own. The Equiciser looks and simulates the motion of a horse. The student can practise how to balance and strengthen core muscles before stradling the real thing. This equipment will be housed in the viewing room for special therapy sessions and to allow students to warm up before their ride. We are very excited to offer these two therapy opportunities to our students.
